although my only problem is, when I posted an article journaling memorial day, I got attacked verbally for supporting veterans.
there ARE some battles that need to be fought, the trouble is distinguishing between the two.
To find out why all these wars are going on we have to look thru the smoke screen. You don't get the truth by watching the news. Think about who profits from wars. Banks provide loans for countries to arm up for a war and cash in on the interest. The same banks give loans to the defeated countries to recover their economy. The banks cash in on the interest.
The population of this planet is at war with the banks, they manipulate and create wars and revolutions at their leisure and become so powerful that there's hardly any way to stop them.
destruction of cities and massacres are the physical aspect of war, but wayyy before being concrete, war lies under the form of a tought in the mind of people. every one would start a war for a personal reason or another if they could. The thing is that only leaders have the power to start a ''real'' war. They have the money and the military power they need at their service to do so, and power corrupts. It's in our nature, and we have to deal with it.
Let's just try to find out what make people think that killing eachother is right, instead of only focusing on the superficial aspect, such as bombings, terrorist attacks ect. because even if we do succeed stopping the american government from bombing some random country with protests and such, the idea of invading that country will still lie in their mind and they will only find another way to do it.
War is all in the mind of people before being on a battlefield. Let's find the source of it before trying useless tactics to stop it's physical effects.
Governments don't care about what we think anyway...
I don't think bombings and terrorist attacks are "superficial aspects". War lies in every human brain that accepts these atrocities and just watch! It is in every mind as you said but it is as concrete even if it is a thought.
It is as concrete as the weapons that are being sold and laundered around to create such destruction! When people just sit and watch and accept it, you realize that the source is right there, as if we have to accept such things. We seriously do not care if governments don't care about what we think or do.
I don't believe that speaking about war and expressing it through our art is a "useless tactic", for people who actually live in a war zone have these forms to communicate what is really happening!
Once again thanx for your opinion but please try to understand how it is to live in a country which is actually going through a war. As an admin I'm telling you that i have witnessed one and lived to tell the tale, so please just consider what you are writing before you start saying such things.
it is indeed, coz nowdays people are quite confused with lots of definition, my understanding with international law is that conflict between rebelions and legitimate countries is not war, instead it could be categorized as coup de tat if the rebellions wins. I dont like it too though, but we must clarify what do we mean with war here , so people can clearly understand what's the real issue
